Recycled Thoughts is a body of illustrations in watercolour and sumi ink on hand-made recycled paper. The subjects depicted represent topics of contemplation and conversation that are encountered, explored and returned to, over and over. The process of return, repetition and familiarity with the thought-subject changes the understanding of the matter and can abstract it, or render it meaningless and trite, more a habit or emblem to be displayed, a mark of identity or belonging, than a current lived experience.
